The flag of Abashiri, Hokkaido, Japan consists of a blue background, white enlarged star, a red roundel in the center of the star with a city symbol in the roundel. its city emblem in a red circle is a stylized katakana "ア" (a) and kanji word, "走" (bashiri) formed in a shape of an anchor represents a seaport.[1]
