The flag of Amurskaya oblast, Russia, is a rectangle with ratio 2:3. The lower part of the flag (1/4 of its breadth) is dark blue in colour and separated from the upper part by a silver wavy stripe, recalling the waves of a river. The stripe occupies 1/12 of the width of the flag. The upper part of the flag is red in colour.
The flag is based on the old coat of arms of Amurskaya Oblast (1878).
Symbolism[]
The flag uses the same colours as the flag of Russia.
Blue stands for the Amur River, that gave the oblast its name.
Red stands for eventful history of the Amur region and the laborious and hard-won achievements of the Amur people.
