The flag of Augusta, Kansas, consisted of a red background with a symbol consisting of an "A", with its' top and bottom parts extended, and a sunflower behind it, all on the hoist of the flag.
Symbolism[]
The design of the Augusta flag was intended to portray the two rivers which have their confluence at Augusta and the one larger flow of the Walnut River leaving the town. The sunflower behind the "A" represents Kansas's nickname as "The Sunshine State".
2022 NAVA survey[]
The flag reached 105th out of 312 on the 2022 NAVA City Flag Survey, with a score of 4.86 / a C+, behind Garnett, and ahead of Union City.
Former flag (1999-2018)[]

The former flag of Augusta, Kansas, is a white background with the word "AUGUSTA", in black, vertical form, and on the hoist. On the center of the flag is the city's seal with three radiating blue rays. According to CRW Flags, the flag had almost the same design as Wichita. It was adopted in 1999, and was drawn and designed by Jim Wheatley.
