The flag of Bahia has four equal horizontal stripes alternating white and red, with a blue square canton the same height and width of the height of 2 stripes. In the center of the canton is a white equilateral triangle.
Symbolism[]
The overall design is based on the flag of the United States, whose Declaration of Independence guided the Bahians. The triangle is taken from a Masonic symbol. The proportions 7:10 are the same proportions as the flag of Brazil.
