The flag of Berkeley County, West Virginia, is a white background with two thin dark blue stripes on the top and bottom (~1/10 of the flag's height). In the middle is a dark blue silhouette of the county, flanked by three gold five-pointed stars each on both sides.
Symbolism[]
The gold and blue are a nod to the colors of West Virginia. The blue stripes represent the two municipalities of the county, its abundance of water and that Berkeley County is the second-oldest county in the state. The six stars represent the county's magisterial districts. They are in clusters of three, located to both sides of the county. This loosely symbolizes the mountainous ranges of Warm Springs Ridge, North Mountain and Blue Ridge Mountain within the county.
