The flag of Bismarck, North Dakota, is a vertical bicolor of white and red, unequally bordered by yellow. in the hoist side is a blue circle with a star in front of a sheaf of wheat connected by its' end. Coming out of the star is a yellow shape with the word "NORTH DAKOTA" in blue. On the top is the word "BISMARCK" in blue, with the "A" replaced by a blue-bordered yellow star.
Symbolism[]
The name of the capital city and its state location represent both Bismarck and its state location, North Dakota. In the name "Bismarck" the star as the A's replacement represents Bismarck's status as the capital of North Dakota, as well as the star in the center of the circling wheat (a symbol of North Dakota). Yellow's symbolism is unknown.
