The flag of Bogotá.
The Flag It is made up of a yellow horizontal stripe, which occupies the upper half, and a red horizontal stripe, which complements the lower part. In the center is the city's coat of arms, stamped with the title "Very noble and very loyal". The yellow color means justice, virtue and kindness; for its part, the color red means freedom, health and charity.
The norm also specifies that for the use of the flag as a banner its proportion will be twice as wide as it is long and for use as a banner its proportion will be two and a half times the length of its width.
The origin of the flag dates back to the Cry of Independence of July 20, 1810, in which the patriots identified themselves with a yellow and red bracelet.
