The flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina is blue with a yellow right triangle, with nine white five-pointed stars, all facing upwards, on a diagonal line by the hypotenuse of the triangle.

Symbolism[]

After struggling and failing to create a flag to represent the diverse population, the United Nations stepped in to create this flag for the country. The yellow triangle represents the land of the country, which was shaped like a triangle and three points stand for the three main ethnic groups "Bosniaks, Croats and Serbs". The stars represents the European Union, and are meant to be infinite as they continued from top to bottom. The blue background hints at the flag of the European Union.[3]
