The flag of Brandon, South Dakota, is a blue background with a yellow sunburst across rolling hills of black and red.
Symbolism[]
The black and red of the rolling hills are the same colors used on Brandon Valley School District, and the blue and yellow are used on the city's logo, stand for the bright blue sky and sunny days in South Dakota,[1] and letting everybody know that its' state was once nicknamed "The Sunshine State".[2]
