The flag of Clifton, Cincinnati, is a blue background, with an off-center symbol consisting of a green circle, an orange 8-pointed star, a transparent yellow ring and a four-pointed star.
Symbolism[]
Colors[]
The blue is for the water from the fountain at the corner of the neighborhood and Ludlow, the green is for the neighborhood's ecological dedication, and the orange and yellow for the flame and guiding light of their Gaslights.[1]
Design[]
The green circle represents the Temple of Love at Mt. Storm, the orange star represents the open-mindedness of the neighborhood's community, and the circle outline and star is an illustration of the neighborhood's iconic Gaslights.[1]
Flag prototype[]
This was a prototype for the flag of Clifton, Cincinnati, found in one of CincyFlags' old posts on X (Twitter). The design shrinks the edges of the eight-pointed star, adds a white circle around the four-pointed star, makes the four-pointed star orange, and adds another yellow ring.
