Symbolism[]
The blue background represents the city's bay, in which the world's largest Naval Air Station is located. The seagull represents the people of Corpus Christi. The 8 stars represent the eight major industries of the city - (agriculture, commerce, oil, chemicals, grains, seafoods, metal/ore refining and tourist trade).
