The flag of Cupertino, 
California is a blue background with the city seal and the text CUPERTINO below it. The seal consists of a rectangular box with sun rays going towards the middle and a morion helmet in the center. Towards the bottom of the seal is curved text that reads EST. 1955.
Symbolism[]
The morion helmet represents the group of Spanish explorers that came through this area. The name Cupertino is from one of the men when he said the area reminded him of his home town, Copertino, 
Italy. It says EST. 1955 as Cupertino was incorporated in 1955. The sun rays possibly represents the heat and the sun in the area and the blue could also symbolize its location in the 
United States near the San Francisco Bay.
