The flag of Enumclaw, Washington, is a white background with two green bars on the top, and green shapes and a golden yellow box forming a depiction of Mt. Rainier, with a golden yellow "X" shape and a white evergreen tree on the bottom.

Symbolism[]

The green represents the nature that surrounds the city, the golden yellow is a nod to the farming industry that our community was founded on, as well as the “beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and the white represents the purity of open space and nature that we are privileged to live in. The golden box and intersection represents an entry to the Mt. Rainer. The prominent tree represents nature and how close we are to many state parks. It points up (north) to the mountain as Enumclaw is the entryway to both north entrances of Mt. Rainier National Park.

Additionally, the golden intersection not only helps represent a gateway to the mountain, but resembles farming and the vast fields on the Plateau, and the two lines across the top of the flag represent strength and resilience. Visually, the lines also represent the wind Enumclaw is known for.[1]

2022 NAVA survey[]

The flag reached 70th out of 312 on the 2022 NAVA City Flag Survey, with a score of 6.22 / a B, behind Lake Saint Louis, and tied with Milford.
