The flag of Ethopia is an equal horizontal tricolour of green, yellow, and red. In the centre of the flag is the Ethopian national emblem.
Symbolism[]
The blue circle represents peace, the star represents diversity and unity, and the rays, prosperity. The green represents land, the yellow is for hope, and the red is for strength.
The colours of the flag of Ethiopia were chosen to represent the Pan-African movement (because Ethiopia is the oldest independent native African state).
