The flag of Formosa Province.
The basic proposal of this design arises from the location of the Province of Formosa in the Southern Cone and its leading role within the framework of regional and continental integration. Taking this as the sole theme of the proposal given the geopolitical importance and ensuring its projection and permanence in time.
An attempt is made to reflect Formosa's presence in the heart of the continent, underlining the integration project across its long frontier as a historical invariant.
The cloth divided into three fields represents the Southern Cone embraced by the two oceans, expressed in the light blue and white colors of the National Flag.
It is noteworthy for a better understanding of the geographical location of the Province in the country, as it is crossed by the Tropic of Capricorn. This has been marked by a laurel wreath that crosses the entire length of the cloth. The institutional structure of the province synthesizes in nine stars arranged in the circle at the height of the Tropic, components already present in the Provincial Coat of Arms.
