The flag of Fort Wayne, Indiana, is a blue background with a white pall design. At the center left is a red silhouette of a Miami Native American head, with a red fleur-de-lis at the top right, and a British lion at the bottom right. At the center of the pall is a white circle with a red blockhouse inside it.
Symbolism[]
The three white lines represent the three rivers which merge in central Fort Wayne: the St. Joseph, St Marys, and Maumee. The fleur-de-lis represents the French presence early in European settlement of the area. The Miami head represents the strong Miami presence through the large village of Kekionga.
2004 NAVA survey[]
The flag scored 4.62 / 51st out of 150 on the 2004 NAVA City Flag Survey, behind Salem, and ahead of Rochester.
