The flag of Fukui Prefecture is a dark blue background with a white stylized version of the prefecture's emblem of Katakana character of Fukui Prefecture (フクイ) in a circle.
Symbolism[]
The emblem looks like a young leaf coming out of a cotyledon. It stands for harmony and cooperation of people, and represents the people’s wish for development of the prefecture.
