The flag of Gatineau, Quebec, is the city’s logo placed on a white background, located near the fly side with a circular blue bar on the hoist of the flag.
The flag was adopted in 2002 and was allegedly adopted by a commercial design firm.
Symbolism[]
The flag is almost entirely taken from the city’s logo. The logo is designed to form the letter G with three waves, that represent the three rivers in Gatineau. Two green ribbons are formed from the dividing rivers. The combination of the rivers and ribbons symbolize the five municipalities within the city.
