The flag of Georgia, the Caucasus, is white with a red cross. In the center of each of the white cantons is a stylized red cross.
Symbolism[]
The flag is based on St George's Cross, like that of England, but with four smaller crosses on each corner. It was originally a medieval banner for the Kingdom of Georgia and was a symbol of The Rose Revolution of 2003, which led the country to a more pro-western pro-European direction.
