The flag of Governors Island, New York, are 13 horizontal red stripes (modeled after the United States flag) and a blue stripe with a silhouette of the island on the hoist. [1]
Symbolism[]
Red, white, and blue are the colors of the United States flag. Even the design is modeled after that flag, except that the blue is fully to the left of the red-and-white stripes, with map of the island in white in place of the stars.
