Guadeloupe is a French overseas region and department in the Caribbean. It has no official flag other than the French tricolor. There are several flags are in use, including a white flag with the region's logo. The separatist party People's Union for the Liberation of Guadeloupe (UPLG) uses a flag based on the Pan-African colours and looks similar to that of Suriname.

It is unknown what the elements and colors mean on the UPLG flag. However, the flag was known to have been adopted in 1984.[1]
Fictional flag[]
The gold sun represents the tropical climate of the island. The three fleurs-de-lis represent the fact that it was discovered by the French.
