The flag of Gunma Prefecture is a purple background with a white stylized Kanji character of Gun of Gunma and three white crescents.
Symbolism[]
The three white crescents represents the three mountains in Gunma Prefecture (Mt. Akagi, Mt. Haruna and Mt. Myougi), and the purple was selected as a refined color, which is believed to be suitable for Gunma, which has lots of cultural inheritance.
