The flag of Hampton Poyle, a village in Oxfordshire, England, is a red field with a white saltire. The flag is bordered entirely by black with twelve gold bezants.

Symbolism[]

The flag's design is based on the coat of arms of Walter de la Poyle. The de la Poyle family inherited the manor of Hampton in the 13th century and the village adopted their surname. The golden bezants on the flag represent gold coins brought back to the British Isles from the Crusades as Walter de la Poyle is thought to have been a crusader.
