The flag of Helena, Montana is a blue background with a large white disk in the center, bordered in gold. On the disk is a depiction of an old fire watchtower, with a green landscape around it. Above the disk in large gold letters is the words, "GUARDIAN OF THE GULCH", below it is the year 1881, the incorporation year of the city.
