The flag of Irving, Texas, is a white background with a horse's head on the top, and the words "Irving" and "Texas" on the bottom.
Previous flag[]

The previous flag is a white background with a red shape, and a blue circle. Inside it was once, the city's logo. It was adopted in 1975 and relinquished in 2009.
Symbolism[]
The large dot of the logo symbolizes the Civic Center Complex; the wavy lines below represent Irving Boulevard (State Highway 356) that runs in front of city hall. The colors and their arrangement are said to echo the design of the Texas state flag.[1]
2004 NAVA survey[]
The flag scored 7.65 on the 2004 NAVA survey, and was ranked as the 17th best flag, behind New Orleans, and ahead of Baltimore.
Trivia[]
- This is one of the many cities to have their logo flag to replace their more detailed flag design, the others being Keller and Richardson, also in Texas.
