The flag of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, is a blue background with a white arched bridge on the bottom, and a green stripe with five yellow stars on the top.
Symbolism[]
The green represents the hills, trails and outdoor recreation of Johnstown. The blue representing the rivers and water recreation. I went with three arches for the 3 major floods, and the 3 rivers: Stonycreek, Conemaugh and the Little Conemaugh Rivers. The arches make up the Stone Bridge, which is a major landmark of Johnstown. The three yellow stars represent iron, coal, and steel, which are central to Johnstown.[2]
2022 NAVA survey[]
The flag reached 94th out of 312 on the 2022 NAVA City Flag Survey, with a score of 5.44 / a B-, behind Clinton, and tied with Saint Michaels.
