The flag of Johor consists of a blue field with a red canton, charged with a white crescent and star. The crescent represents the religion of Islam while the star represents the Sultan of Johor. The charge is slightly tilted towards the bottom right, symbolising that Islam and the Sultan of Johor are always in charge and taking care of the state and its citizens.
