The flag of Kaunas County consists of a blue coloured border with 10 yellow coloured jogalia crosses with 4 on the top, 2 at the sides and 4 at the bottom. Inside the border is a red background with a silver ox head wearing a cross on its forehead.
The regional emblem in the center of the flag is based on the flag and the coat of arms of the Kaunas County’s coat of arms.

The ten jogalia crosses represents the 10 Lithuanian county - which includes itself - and the blue border represents. The colours gold on blue are traditional for the jogalia cross in Lithuanian heraldry.
