Kingman Reef has no official flag. Its current flag is the American flag, but an unofficial flag was designed by a sailor who volunteered at the USS Arizona Memorial on July 4, 2017. The flag is an unequal horizontal bicolor of aquamarine and gray, with a black fin shark on the aquamarine band.

Symbolism

The aquamarine represents the water of the reef, and the black fin shark is native to the waters surrounding it.
