The flag of Kursk Oblast, Russia, consists of five unequal horizontal stripes: red, silver, golden, black, and red; and is charged with the oblast coat of arms in the centre. The width of the silver, golden, and black stripes is twice the width of each red stripe. [2]
Symbolism[]
Probably the flag is a combination of the black-yellow-white tricolour of the Russian Empire ("Romanovs' Flag"), and the red flag of the Soviet Union.
