The flag of Manitoba is red with the Union Jack in the canton. In the center of the fly is Manitoba's provincial shield of arms.
Symbolism[]
At the time of this flag's adoption, the Red Ensign was a major part of the flag of Canada. The shield of arms represents Manitoba and their relationship with England. [2]
The buffalo in the shield is a symbol of Manitoba.
