The French overseas community of Mayotte (also known as Mahoré) has no official national flag of its own, and sometimes uses instead the flag of France. The unofficial flag is a white field containing the words "DÉPARTEMENT" on the top and "DE MAYOTTE" on the bottom in black capital letters, with the coat of arms of Mayotte in the center.
