Symbolism[]
The flag features a shire horse, which symbolizes the village’s agricultural nature,[2] Vroman’s Nose, what the hill is, and the Schoharie Creek, what the blue river is. According to the village, the white color represents peacefulness in the community, blue representing resilience, and the green representing the agricultural knowledge of the area.[3]
The 16 stars that form around the shire horse symbolize the 16 townships (towns and villages) in Schoharie County.[2]
