The flag of Missoula, Montana, is the same rainbow flag used in the LGBT Gay Pride flag.
It was adopted on June 2, 2025 after the Missoula City Council approved a resolution 9-2 that would recognize the LGBTQ pride flag as an official city flag.[1] The resolution came in response to House Bill 819, which limited what flags the state can fly at government buildings and schools.[2] The city became the third in the United States in 2025 to adopt a pride flag as an official city flag after Boise and Salt Lake City, as well as the first city in the United States to adopt a pride flag as its first official flag.
