The flag of Monmouthshire represents the historic county of Monmouthshire (Welsh: Sir Fynwy) in Wales. It was adopted in 2011.
The flag's design features three fleurs-de-lis on a blue and black background.
Symbolism[]
The fleurs-de-lis represent the coat of arms that were attributed by mediæval heralds to King Inyr of the Ancient British Kingdom of Gwent, the area which developed into Monmouthshire.
