The flag of the Movement for Democratic Change is an equal horizontal green-yellow-red-black quadricolour with the organisation's emblem in the centre of the flag. In the centre of the bottom black stripe is the abbreviation "MDC" in white letters.
The Movement for Democratic Change is the only political opposition in Zimbabwe.
Symbolism[]
The coloured stripes are derived from the national flag of Zimbabwe. [2] The open hand on the flag is the election symbol of the MDC and it represents transparency. [2]
