The flag of Orlando, Florida, is a white background with a blue stripe on the bottom, with a depiction of a fountain. Surrounding it is the sun depicted in the shape of an "O", with its' portion over the blue stripe being split by 4 thin blue stripes.

The six equal segments on the base of the fountain embody the city's six commission districts. The iconic fountain is surrounded by the letter "O", which symbolizes Orlando's unity, connectivity and timelessness. The color yellow represents the sunshine, hope and happiness that thrive in our great city. The reflection of the "O" in the water symbolizes our careful consideration of our past and our bold vision for the future. The flag is set on a two-toned background of blue and white representing patriotism, perseverance and peace.[1]

Former flag (1980-2017)[]
The former flag of Orlando, Florida, is a horizontal bicolour of white and blue, with what consists to be, Lake Eola surrounded by buildings over a sun with two trees next to them, and the word "CITY of ORLANDO" in black. The entire thing is surrounded by blue and outlined in black.[2] The flag was adopted in June 2, 1980.
