The flag of Palau is sky blue with a yellow circle slightly to the left of the center of the flag. It was adopted on January 1, 1981 (New Year's Day).

Symbolism

The yellow represents the moon. The symbolism of the light blue represents the islands' placement in the Pacific Ocean.
