The flag of Panama is a quarterly with the hoist and lower fly cantons being white with five-pointed stars in the center of them. The other two cantons are blue (by the hoist) and red (by the fly). The colors of the stars are blue in the canton and red in the lower fly.


White represents peace, red represents the Panama Liberal Party, and blue represents the Panama Conservative Party. The symbolism of the stars, and why they are five-pointed,is unknown. [2]

The flag's colors are red, white, and blue, which are the same colors as the flags of the United States and France.
