Former flag (1954-2017)[]
The former flag is a white background with a blue version of the city's seal in the center. The seal itself reflects the history of Peoria, which started as a farming community with cotton fields. Also included is a saguaro cactus on a mountain, which reflects the desert environment. The flag was adopted in 1954, and lasted until 2017.
