The flag of Ranger, Texas Texas, is a diagonal saltire design with white upper and lower triangles, and red left and right triangles. On the top of the upper white triangle are the words "CITY OF RANGER" in red capital letters, outlined in black, and below it are the words "Incorporated April 4th, 1919" in black. On the red triangle on the left is a Texas Rangers badge, and on the red triangle on the right is a picture of the Ranger Independent School District Bulldog, the mascot of the school district. In the middle of the flag is a picture of the 1917 McClesky No. 1 oil well. It was designed by twelve-year-old Lilliyanna Hernandez, a sixth-grader at Ranger Middle School.

History[]

The original idea was brought to the Ranger Incorporation & Charter Signing Centennial planning committee by a pastor named Gerald Gunstanson. 101 entries were submitted, with the design by Lillyanna Hernandez being the winner.

2022 NAVA survey[]

The flag scored 0.94 / 312th out of 312, an F on the 2022 NAVA City Flag Survey, ranking last in the survey. Ahead of it is the flag of Westhampton.
