The flag of Rostock, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, is a defaced, uneven, horizontal tricolor of blue, white, and red. On the largest stripe, the blue stripe, is a yellow majestical bird. The flag is heavily inspired by the city’s coat of arms.

The flag was adopted on July 3, 1991, and designed by an unknown author.

Unique to Rostock, the city has a sea, or admiralty flag, which has the same blue-white-red horizontal tricolor, but with the yellow mythical create in a golden canton, and the creature is black.
