For the Malaysian state, see Sabah.
The flag of Saba is a 2:3 flag with the Dutch colours in a unique pattern with a yellow star in the centre.
Symbolism[]
The star in the flag is said to represent Saba itself, and its gold colour is said to represent the preciousness of Saba to all Sabans and that they should hold it dear to their hearts. The goldish colour also represents the wealth and beauty of the island.
The Dutch colours, red, white and blue are said to represent the connection between the Netherlands and the Netherlands Antilles. The colours are also said to have individual meanings, with white symbolizing peace and rest, red symbolizing unity and courage, and blue symbolizing the sea.
