The flag of San Jose, California, is an unequal triband of orange, white, and blue. In the center is the city's seal.
Symbolism[]
The wheat and grapevines in the seal symbolize the area's agricultural products. The word "FOUNDED 1777" shows when the city was founded. And while there are no documented symbolism for the orange, white, and blue, its' own Wikipedia page says they may represents California, as they are the states' official colors.

The flag is tied with Tampa, Florida, and is behind Worcester, Massachusetts with a score of 3.97, and ranking in 78th place.
Former flag (1969–1984)[]
The former flag consists of a white field, bordered by yellow and blue, in the middle of the flag is the city's seal, with the words "SAN JOSÉ, CALIFORNIA" and "FOUNDED 1777", on the top and bottom.
