The flag of Serbia is a horizontal tricolour of red, blue, and white, with the Serbian coat of arms to the left of the center of the flag, 1⁄7 to the hoist.
Symbolism[]
The colors in the tricolor were probably taken from the Russian Empire flag, the Serbian coat of arms represents the nation of Serbia and its people, the cross is surrounded by 4 stylized letters, a popular tradition says that they represent "S" in Cyrillic, and stands for the phrase "Only Unity Saves the Serbs".[3]
