The flag of Sofia, the capital city of Bulgaria.
Symbolism[]
The city's coat of arms is in the centre of the flag. In the top-right quarter of the coat of arms is an image of the Church of St. Sophia, which the city takes its name from. At the bottom of the arms is the city motto, "Расте, но не старее", meaning "Ever Growing, Never Aging".
