The flag of South Fairmount, Cincinnati, is a light blue background, with (from top to bottom) a yellow stylized arch, a white star, and a dark-blue stylized wave outline in the center.
Symbolism[]
The dark blue wave outline symbolizes the movement of water running through the Ohio River, the seven-pointed star symbolizes the seven hills of Cincinnati, which unites the design to the CincyFlags project. The symmetrical arch represents the rise of something new.[2]
The blue is for the aforementioned Ohio River, and yellow represents a bridge since the neighborhood acts as a gateway to the city's West Side.[2]
Flag Proposals[]
There had been flag proposals for South Fairmount, which were designed by DJ Trischler and Chris Glass (who had also designed other flag proposals for Lower Price Hill, East Price Hill, West Price Hill, Sedamsville, Riverside and Sayler Park).[3]
