Adoption date[]

There seems to be a lot of confusion about Bhutan's flag adoption date. According to Maps of the world the adoption date is 1965. according to the Britannica Online Encyclopediait is "unknown, but possibly 1971", according to Flags of the World it is 1969, and according to World Flags 101 it is 1969. So, err... what do we put? User:Bethel23/Sig 18:56, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

It was probably adopted in 1965, and the shape of the dragon was modified in 1969. I'd go for a 1969 date. ;-) -FlagFreak (talk) 20:47, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Designer[]

Now, I know, when you see this page you're going to put that this is a stub because it hasn't got a designer. You are never going to find a designer for this flag. Sources disagree over when it was adopted, let alone who it was designed by. I think that it should have "unknown", because they really are "unkown". User:Bethel23/Sig 19:12, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

I think this is a good idea. For the Texas article, there is a reference whose website clearly states, "The designer of the flag is unknown." If there is a reference that mentions the anonymity of the designer, then (unknown) should be replaced with Not known [ref]. But if there is no reference, there is still the possibility that the name of the designer has been recorded somewhere, and it's up to VexiWikians to do some sleuthing eventually. -FlagFreak (talk) 20:53, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
