The flag of Valle del Cauca Department.
It was adopted in the first instance during the independence revolution by the then called Confederate Cities Anserma (Ansermanuevo) , Buga, Cali, Caloto, Cartago, Toro, Iscuandé and Popayán, on June 26, 1811, date on which they declared its independence from Spain. It was officially adopted by the department through departmental ordinance No. 146 of December 31, 1960.
Celeste: Openness, honesty, sincerity and loyalty. White: Peace, beauty and purity. Silver: Integrity, obedience and innocence.
