The flag of Wiesbaden, Hesse, is a blue background with three golden flour-de-lies in a triangular formation (two on the top, one on the bottom) in the center of the flag. The flag was made to resemble the city’s coat of arms. The flag is sometimes shown in a banner form.

The flag was designed in 1907 by an unknown artist.

History[]

Wiesbaden (1910)

The banner said to be used in 1910.

The current flag of Wiesbaden has been said to have either been adopted in 1907 or officially 1935. Currently, the flag is inspired by the city’s coat of arms. Allegedly, the city was founded my Karl the Great, or Charlemagne, when he used the french coat of arms sometime in the 8th century.

Allegedly, a different banner had been used between 1910 and possibly 1935. The banner had been a vertical bicolor of gold on the left and blue on the right
